From leisurely tours to challenging downhill passages, there is the perfect route for every ability. All routes are marked with red bike signposts and lead through breathtaking scenery.

A diverse natural and recreational landscape unfolds right on the doorstep of the Matt Hotel & Education Center.
Summer: Numerous hiking and biking trails start right at the hotel. The Schwarzenberg region and nearby Eigenthal offer a variety of routes for leisurely walks as well as more challenging hikes. Popular destinations such as Mount Pilatus and the city of Lucerne are also within easy reach.
Winter: Depending on snow conditions, the winter hiking trails and snowshoe routes around Schwarzenberg invite you to enjoy active days in nature. Cross-country ski trails are located in nearby Eigenthal. We’d be happy to provide you with information about current conditions when you arrive.
Our guests can use the sauna, sanarium, infrared cabin, and solarium for a fee. The Kneipp Park is available free of charge. Thai massages can also be booked.
The Schwarzenberg region offers numerous opportunities for day trips and is considered a popular, often fog-free recreational area. Popular destinations include Mount Pilatus and Fräkmüntegg, the Eigenthal Valley, the Hergiswald pilgrimage church, the Entlebuch UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and the city of Lucerne. Hiking and biking trails leading into the Lucerne mountains also start right from the hotel.
The fitness room on the ground floor is available free of charge to our hotel and seminar guests daily from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The hotel offers billiards, darts, and foosball in the game room. In addition, the Schwarzenberg region offers numerous outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and snowshoeing—all starting right from the hotel.
